Veterans Day - Wednesday , November 11, 2020 is fast approaching.

Let us remember all of our veterans, past and present .

A brief history of Veterans Day:  Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, was originally set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918.

In 1954, the 83rd U.S. Congress -- at the urging of the veterans service organizations -- amended the Act of 1938 by striking out the word "Armistice" and inserted the word "Veterans." With the approval of this legislation on June 1, 1954, Nov. 11 became a day to honor American veterans of all wars.

Do you say happy Veterans Day?
Yes, you can say, "Thank you for your service!" To all those who have served, and those who continue to serve or "Happy Veterans Day!"
Happy Veterans Day to our soldiers, both past and present.
Remember our intent is to express gratitude without pretense and not just use it as a tired, polite phrasing.
You can show your appreciation by
  • Placing a commemorative grave marker flag for Veterans Day. ...
  • Wear a US Flag shirt or Missing in Action memorial shirt
  • Host a grill out... Invite a vet
  • Wear a military insignia shirt or hoodie
  • Buy a vet you know a coffee mug, shot glass or beer stein as a keepsake.
  • The best way to show your gratitude is not to forget their sacrifice and service by the veteran and their families for all of those years.
